“Serious & Playful” is my eighth CD.  Many of the great musicians who perform on this record have played on my earler CDs.  I’m very fortunate to hae been able to work with them for a long time now.  First and foremost is my producer Jim Rickert of Creative Works Studio in Quincy, MA.  My longstanding all-star musical team also includes John Aldrich from the Berklee College of Music and John Boehmer, a gifted Boston-area guitar and keyboard player, and the outstanding vocalist, Chris Gerstner.  Also a wonderful fiddle player, Jackie Damsky, joins our team for this CD.

“Serious & Playful” incorporates two types of songs that I wrote:  one more reflective and one more lighthearted.  Both of these attrivutes are part of who I am, and probably reside in most people I know.  As the title song suggests, many of us invoke either our serious or playful natures, depending on the circumstances.  I don’t think we prefer one or the other.
